WHO WE ARE

Our Y, Our Movement, Our Community Impact

We care about our communities.  We’ve made a difference in people’s lives for more than 175 years.  We are joined with other Ys in making a difference across America – from small towns to the largest cities.  We will continue doing what matters most for years to come.  As our community, members’ and families’ needs and expectations change, we are also making meaningful positive changes.

Our Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Impact

The Heartland YMCA Alliance exists to bring our Ys across the states of Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota together and improve our effectiveness in strengthening our local communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.  We will proactively and intentionally use our collective resources to achieve our common vision and goals by increasing the number of individuals served through YMCA programs and membership.
